Penn State Harrisburg, School of Public Affairs (SPA), invites applications for a tenure-track position in health administration at the rank of assistant professor effective August 2018. The successful candidate will teach in the Master of Health Administration (HADM) and the Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration (HPA) programs. Applicants should have an earned doctorate in health administration or a related field and must provide evidence of or potential for a successful and impactful research agenda. Those who hold a J.D. only will not be considered for this position. While area of specialization is open, the successful candidate must be able to teach healthcare management, population health, health systems organization, healthcare insurance, and healthcare ethics. Teaching experience in face-to face/online is desirable. All candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and to engage in service appropriate to their rank and must qualify for membership in the Graduate Faculty of The Pennsylvania State University: The SPA offers additional undergraduate programs in Political Science, Public Policy, and Criminal Justice and additional master`s programs in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, and Homeland Security, as well as a Ph.D. in Public Administration.
