The Department of Rehabilitation and Health Services in the College of Health and Public Service at the University of North Texas seeks an outstanding and energetic full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Public Health. This is a nine-month tenure track position at the rank of an Assistant or Associate professor, depending on experience and qualifications. Teaching responsibilities include both undergraduate courses in Public Health and graduate level courses in Ph.D. in Health Services Research curriculum. The candidate selected for this position will be expected to engage in online teaching as well as facilitation of accreditation with the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). Faculty are expected to serve on department, college, and university committees; actively participate in professional organizations; and maintain continued scholarship and funded research activity.

The Department of Rehabilitation & Health Services is an interdisciplinary department which houses a Ph.D. in Health Services Research, two Master’s degrees (Rehabilitation Counseling and Health Services Administration), two Bachelor’s degrees (Public Health and Rehabilitation Studies), and several minors and certificates. In addition to being an innovative, student-centered instructor, the ideal candidate will need a proven track record in supporting and mentoring graduate students; participating in interdisciplinary research initiatives; securing external funding to support research activities and facilitating community-focused programming.
