JOB PURPOSE

The College of Health Sciences at the University of Sharjah is seeking a qualified candidate with Ph.D. in Physical Therapy for Cardiopulmonary/Medical-Surgical conditions. ​

Candidate will be responsible to teach the courses related to Physiotherapy in (Cardiopulmonary) as well as physiotherapy for surgical conditions. The role also includes clinical practice, in addition to contributing to research and community service activities.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

• Undertake teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs including supervision of student projects and seminars, and supervision of clinical placements.
• Carry out independent research and other scholarly activities, and secure research grants.
• Participate in community, professional and/or consultancy services.
• Undertake administrative duties; and perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• A strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate (Cardiopulmonary/Medical-Surgical conditions related courses) with demonstrated good teaching performance; applicants must show documented teaching experience (Minimum of five (5) years) at all levels.
• A strong commitment to excellence in research and Scopus indexed publications in the area of Cardiopulmonary and Med-Surg rehabilitation.
• Proven experience in supervision of graduated master's students.
• Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience in a related specialty.
• Strong teaching and research profile with good number of high-quality publications
