Provide assistive technology evaluations and trainings for students and adults with disabilities including those who are blind, have vision impairments, mobility impairments, cognitive impairments and other types of disabilities. Training is provided in the use of a wide range of assistive technologies that include screen reading and magnification software, text to speech, speech recognition, notetaking devices, organization and time management devices, scanning and materials accessibility, scanning devices and use of switches. Conduct on-site evaluations and training as needed. Provide tech support in the use of multiple assistive technologies.
MS degree in Occupational Therapy. One-two years experience in working with persons with multiple disabilities. Experience in working with a variety of assistive devices including assistive software and stand-alone devices for persons with vision impairments.
Experience in working with a variety of assistive devices including assistive software and stand-alone devices for persons with mobility and physical impairments.
Lifting of computers and devices and setup, moving of wheelchairs, assist with positioning of persons of various sizes.
