Director, Athletic Training
$61,400 - $75,000 annually or higher depending on education and experience
The position performs duties in the areas of care, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic related injuries to students participating in one of 16 intercollegiate athletic programs. It also provides consultation to these athletes on all health issues and supervises all drug and physical testing. The position provides instruction and learning opportunities for student and graduate athletic training students. It also supervises numerous student workers, the Head Strength Coach and the full time assistant(s), full time Assistant Athletic Trainer(s), Graduate Athletic Trainers and numerous athletic training students. It provides budget control over all these areas. It is a position of leadership in the Administrative Staff.
Masters degree in Athletic Training
5 years experience at the NCAA Division I level.
Eligible for Licensure with State Board of Medicine as Athletic Trainer.
A Health Care delivery philosophy consistent with Team Physicians and other medical providers.
Previous experience as Head FB Athletic Trainer in collegiate athletic setting.
Previous experience with Vivature and other EMR systems.
Previous Budget responsibility and management experience.
Experience in both NCAA and institutional substance abuse testing/rehabilitation.
History with managing Mental Health crisis and programming.
