The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Undergraduate Program is seeking a Lecturer Title Series (tenure-ineligible) Lecturer. This position is a 9-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 90% Teaching and Advising, and 10% Service/Professional Development which will be reviewed annually. We anticipate a start date of January 1, 2025, but no later than April 1, 2025.
This position, onsite and based in Lexington, KY, will assist and resource the Undergraduate BSN programs within the College of Nursing. This position requires an individual to provide teaching, advising, and mentoring of undergraduate students in the BSN program. Candidate will implement and evaluate the assigned didactic and clinical courses in the College’s undergraduate program. They will plan and evaluate student clinical experiences, and guide BSN students. Additionally, the candidate will provide clinical services as an undergraduate clinical instructor as delineated. The required education and experience include an earned Master’s Degree in nursing. DNP or PhD in nursing preferred. Preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education preferred, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. Successful teaching experience with baccalaureate nursing students in areas of adult health nursing, medical-surgical nursing, health assessment, health promotion, and/or pathopharmacology are preferred. An active unencumbered Kentucky license as a registered nurse and a minimum of 2 years of related professional clinical practice nursing experience within the last 5 years is required.
