The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Pathologists in the CE track are expected to have a strong publication record and a strong interest in collaborative research. The successful applicant will be accomplished in the area of pediatric pathology with a particular interest and recognized expertise in pediatric neoplasia and related diseases. A clear scholarly focus in an area of pediatric pathology evidenced by a strong publication record is required, and some external funding is preferable. Responsibilities include reporting surgical cases, biopsies and pediatric autopsies, sharing on-call responsibilities and taking part in the teaching of residents and fellows rotating through the division. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care.
Applicants must be a board certified/eligible pediatric pathologist with at least 6 years of experience and eligible for a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The position will be based within the Division of Anatomic Pathology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The successful candidate will join a group of 9 pediatric pathologists, 3 hematopathologists and 3 neuropathologists.
