The Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing (CON), University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OU), seeks outstanding nurse clinicians and researchers for tenure-track and non-tenure track positions. We seek faculty with exceptional qualifications who share the University’s core values of high standards of excellence in innovative and collaborative practice and research, combined with fostering an open and inclusive environment that promotes participation of underrepresented groups in advanced clinical practice and research. Faculty candidates with clinical practice/advanced practice nursing and/or programs of research are encouraged to apply. Individuals with active research programs and teaching expertise will receive preference. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing faculty and contribute to the continued growth of our academic and research programs in the college and university.

Faculty opportunities are available immediately for candidates with clinical and/or research expertise in several areas of nursing for all locations, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Lawton. Faculty appointments for these positions are made at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level, on either tenure or non-tenure track, based on the candidates’ academic preparation, level of expertise, and experience.

All faculty are expected to contribute to the academic mission of the CON by operationalizing the interdependence among education, research and practice/service.

Academic positions require commitment to teaching, research/scholarly activities, and service.

RN/APRN applicants must have a graduate degree in Nursing and Terminal Degree in Nursing, Health, Science or Social Science Related Field, be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in Oklahoma.

Non RN/APRN applicants must have a terminal degree in their respective discipline.

Two years teaching experience and eligibility for a Level 3 faculty appointment in the Graduate College are preferred for all applicants ( Level 3 requires : evidence of documented research activity in the last 5 years in applicable discipline. Examples: Publications in scholarly journals, presentations at scientific/professional meetings, current funding or grant submissions, invited academic or professional presentations).
