Open Rank, Non-Tenure-Track Occupational Therapy Entry Level Doctoral Program Director position in the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences

Description:
Rutgers University School of Health Professions (SHP) invites applications for an open-rank non-tenure track Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program Director position within the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences. This 12-month full-time appointment is available immediately. This Program Director position will have as primary role the development of a new clinical doctoral program in Occupational Therapy. Other responsibilities include developing and evaluating curriculum; advising and retention activities; achieving and maintaining accreditation, hiring faculty, assessing student and program objectives; student learning assessment duties; serving on committees; and attending meetings and functions. Every SHP faculty member is expected to participate in scholarly work related to teaching or their discipline.

About the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences:
The Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences is in the Rutgers Biomedical Health Science (RBHS) School of Health Professions and is located in Newark, New Jersey. The Department offers a 3 year DPT program and is also developing a MS in Speech Language Pathology.

Qualifications:
Candidates for consideration should have the following qualifications:
1. Hold an earned PhD, EdD, or clinical doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
2. 8 years of clinical practice with a minimum of 3 years full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the post bachelors level
3. National certification and current license to practice OT in New Jersey
4. Current AOTA membership
5. Experiences with Occupational Therapy curriculum design and accreditation
6. In-depth knowledge of ACOTE regulations
7. Strong organizational skills
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
