The Wake Forest University Department of PA Studies is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a faculty position on the Boone, NC campus. The most competitive applicant will be a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be experienced in teaching.
The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to preparing and delivering instruction and assessing student performance, participating in the program’s curriculum development, participating in the program’s self-assessment processes, participating in student recruitment, interviews and selection and mentoring students in their professional development.
In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in inter-professional education opportunities; produce scholarship; and provide service including active participation on program, school and university committees.
Opportunities are provided for professional service to the PA profession and clinical practice. Qualifications for this position include graduation from an accredited PA program, minimum of an earned Master’s Degree, a minimum of three years current clinical experience, current NCCPA certification and eligibility for licensure in North Carolina. Experience in PA education and/or clinical precepting is desirable.
