The primary responsibilities of the Professor of the Practice will be to coordinate the Tufts Biomedical Engineering undergraduate research courses, and to teach the undergraduate design courses. This is a part time, teaching position; this Professor of the Practice would be responsible for teaching up to four (4) courses per academic year.

Appointment rank will be commensurate with professional experience. The initial appointment term will be for two years with the possibility of renewal contingent upon annual performance review results. A successful Professor of the Practice candidate will possess a wealth of industry experience to share with our students.

The Professor of the Practice rank is awarded when a candidate has demonstrated outstanding professional accomplishments and achieved senior stature in his/her field, demonstrated by a career path of increasing responsibility and scope.

The ideal candidate would possess a combination of educational and industrial experience in the areas of biomedical engineering regenerative medicine, biomedical devices and/or imaging techniques and systems. MS or PhD in a related field is required; prior teaching experience preferred.
