Post Doctoral Research Fellow
The Women’s Health Research Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking two post-doctoral research fellows to take part in an exciting new initiative in women’s life course health. The Women’s Health Research Institute will bring together many disciplines to build cutting-edge translational research programs that will make Mount Sinai a national thought leader in women’s health across the life course, including pre-adolescence, reproductive medicine, post-menopause, and geriatric care.
The two areas of research focus for the post-doctoral research fellows are health services and gynecologic oncology. Because the Women’s Health Research Institute will address a broad range of medical, epidemiologic and socioeconomic issues, candidates from broad disciplines will be considered. Selected candidates possess a strong record of academic training, a commitment to women’s health, the demonstrated ability to work independently, and leadership potential. Experience working with women, collaboration with others from diverse backgrounds, and sensitivity in bringing research to the clinical arena are essential. A creative, forward-thinking mindset and collaborative nature are crucial.
