INSTRUCTOR – The Department of Anatomy at Southern Illinois University’s School of Medicine Carbondale is inviting applications for an Instructor to assist and teach in the human anatomy curriculum. Appointees will provide lectures, teach in all cadaveric laboratory sessions, serve as tutor/facilitators in small group sessions and perform other duties as assigned. The position is a 100% time, 12-month, term position, commencing as early as July 01, 2018. Reappointment will occur contingent upon performance and the availability of funds. Minimum qualifications are a Master’s Degree or equivalent (e.g., physical therapy, physician assistant) with training in human anatomy, physiology, biological sciences, kinesiology or related fields with preference for teaching experience in the human anatomies (Gross anatomy, embryology, neuroscience). Applicants in final stages of Master’s thesis work and who expect to complete their degree prior to appointment will be considered. This is a security sensitive position. Before any offer f employment is made, the University will conduct a pre-employment background investigation which includes a criminal background check. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
