Springfield College seeks applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor for Exercise Science within the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Studies. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track appointment within the School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation beginning August 2019. Expertise in the field, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and a strong commitment to scholarly and service activities are expected. Preference will be given to candidates who can bring diverse perspectives to this growing department and who are motivated to help students succeed.

Interested candidates for this position will have an earned Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in Exercise Physiology or related discipline. The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver a wide variety of graduate exercise physiology coursework and will provide leadership to the graduate Exercise Physiology program. The ideal candidate will have content expertise in genetics and metabolism and a history of successful grant development. A candidate with experience in Exercise Physiology laboratory equipment and ACSM certification (EP-C) are preferred. Additional responsibilities include thesis and dissertation advisement, academic advising, and scholarly and service related activities.
