The University of Kentucky College of Nursing invites qualified applicants for this full-time (12-month) position in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. This non-tenure track position includes developing, coordinating, and teaching content in an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Position duties require classroom or online instruction; supervision of nursing students in clinical settings; advising students; involvement on college committees; clinical scholarship and membership in professional organizations, as well as service in clinical practice. Position will also work with UKHealthCare Nursing Leadership to promote ambulatory clinical excellence and scholarship.

Qualifications include a doctor of nursing practice (DNP), doctor of philosophy (PhD) degree or other doctorate in nursing preferred (MSN eligible) with a certification as an advance practice nurse as a family nurse practitioner and eligible for licensure as an advance practice registered nurse (APRN) in the state of Kentucky. The successful candidate must have an active Kentucky RN license. A minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent experience employed as a family nurse practitioner within the past five years is required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required. Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarship, clinical practice and service. Previous teaching experience in an accredited BSN program is preferred.
