About the opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an Associate Lecturer or Lecturer to join the diagnostic radiography team to contribute to interdisciplinary research and to teach students at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will take responsibility for:

  • teaching into our radiography undergraduate and postgraduate courses, delivering content in radiographic practice and/ or radiographic physics
  • contributing to curriculum design and development
  • developing research interests aligned to the discipline’s research themes and faculty strategic direction.

In addition, at the Lecturer level, you will also:

  • coordinate units of study
  • support and supervise honours and postgraduate students
  • pursue a research program aligned to the discipline’s research themes, including grant acquisition and peer reviewed publications.

Visa sponsorship will be made available to suitable overseas candidates.

About you

  • relevant qualifications in diagnostic radiography and a demonstrated commitment to undertake a research higher degree
  • experience in teaching at university level (desirable).

At Lecturer level:

  • a PhD in a relevant field
  • A university teaching qualification (desirable)
  • experience with the design and development of teaching materials for diagnostic radiography students
  • a track record in research related to diagnostic radiography demonstrated via academic publications and experience with grant submission
  • experience in research led-teaching and curriculum development and successful postgraduate student supervision
  • previous experience in recruiting and supervising postgraduate students (desirable).

At both levels you will also need to demonstrate:

  • recent clinical radiographic experience (desirable)
  • involvement in relevant professional bodies and networks including registration or eligibility to register with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA)
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop and maintain collaborative networks.
