Assistant/Associate Professor – SUNY Empire Innovation

The Environmental Health Sciences Department (EHS) in the University at Albany (UAlbany) School of Public Health (SPH), State University of New York (SUNY) invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Empire Innovation to begin in the Fall of 2019.
The successful candidate should have expertise in advanced or innovative methods in Environmental or Occupational health modeling, especially the modeling of mixtures; exposure assessment; clean energy and environmental sustainability; translational science; big data and data analytics; or a related field.
The SUNY Empire Innovation Program (EIP) is a state-funded program dedicated to recruiting and retaining world-class faculty at the State University of New York. EIP faculty are leaders in their fields who have an established track record of scholarly achievement, external funding, and collaborative research. EIP faculty positions are highly competitive as they hold a SUNY-wide title of distinction.
A successful candidate will be expected to
Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Serve as advisor and mentor to culturally diverse students and postdoctoral fellows in research.
Develop independent extramurally funded research and be able to collaborate with colleagues in the School of Public Health, in other parts of the University, or with the New York State Department of Health.
A successful candidate will
Hold a Ph.D. in environmental science, exposure science, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field.
Have at least 3-5 years of research experience after completion of the terminal degree
Have evidence of successful teaching at the graduate or undergraduate levels.
Have a strong record of scholarship such as peer-reviewed publications and externally funded research as the principal investigator.
