The University of Kentucky is currently seeking applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor in the department of Health, Behavior and Society. successful candidate will contribute to a growing faculty research capacity in health, behavior and society; obtain extramural research funding support, publish research findings related to health behavior, and provide national or regional leadership in public health research. The primary responsibilities of this position are aligned with the College and University missions of research, teaching, and service, and teaching responsibilities will include both core and elective courses in the College of Public Health academic programs. The selected individual will also provide Department, College, and University service as appropriate.
Established in 2004, the University of Kentucky College of Public Health is fully-accredited at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral level by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). Taking advantage of our location on the central UK campus, we offer joint degrees with the UK Colleges of Law, Pharmacy, and Medicine; we also offer graduate certificates in conjunction with partners including the College of Engineering and the Gatton College of Business. Our course offerings are designed to support the future leaders, scholars, and practitioners who will champion public health into the 21st century. Deeply invested in research, projects led by our faculty received $12.7 million in FY 2017 from the National Institutes of Health to tackle tough issues including cancer, opioid addiction, and health disparities in rural communities. Our faculty members partner with colleagues across the UK campus, as well as at other research-intensive universities.
