Environmental Health Sciences Position Announcement
The Department of Environmental Health Sciences, School of Public Health at The University of Alabama at Birmingham invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor/Associate Professor position. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants must have a doctoral degree with graduate-level training in environmental health sciences, public health or a related discipline. Doctoral candidates with an expected degree conferral date by summer 2019 will also be considered. We encourage applications from those with expertise in any environmental health area, including, but not limited to, environmental policy, toxicology, infectious agents, global environmental issues, or food, air, and water safety. A teaching load of 2-3 undergraduate and graduate level courses per semester (fall, spring, and summer) is expected, as well as appropriate service to the department and institution. Experience with community engaged learning and working with diverse student populations is preferred. The opportunity to participate in research collaborations will be available but is not required.
