The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Health Professions, Department of Laboratory Sciences and Primary Care, Physician Assistant Program invites applications from highly motivated individuals for a full-time faculty member position. Faculty rank, salary, and tenure status will be based on terminal degree and experience. TTUHSC PA Program is a 27-month, master’s-level curriculum located Midland, TX in a dedicated PA program facility, providing an environment of learning with a cohesive faculty and student body. The PA program has strong administrative support and excellent salary and benefits.

  • Teach Physiology, Pathophysiology, and other basic or clinical sciences in area of expertise
  • Prepare and deliver instruction and assess student performance in assigned courses
  • Coordinate data analysis and required reporting for accreditation, institution, or other entities.
  • Student advising in the didactic and clinical phases of the program
  • Participate on committees including admissions, student progression, curriculum, and self-study
  • Participate in university, professional, scholarly, and community service activities

Minimum Qualifications:

For non-PA applicant:
Terminal degree in sciences or education
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in higher education

For PA applicants:
Master’s degree in PA Studies or other discipline
Current NCCPA certification, eligibility for licensure in Texas
Two years of clinical experience
All Candidates
Strong communication, time management, and computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with grant or scholarly submissions
Experience in program assessment and data management
