Position Description: The long standing NAACLS-accredited Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), Bowling Green, Ohio is seeking applicants for a 9-month non-tenure track faculty position. (Summer teaching opportunities available.) The MLS program seeks individuals to join our undergraduate program during an exciting time of growth and new opportunities.

Primary responsibilities: Teaching courses in the Medical Laboratory Science program in an area based on the candidate’s educational or teaching experience, which may include clinical microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, immunohematology, hematology or related courses. Participating in program and curriculum development, recruiting and advising students, and engaging in other program activities.

Qualifications: An earned Master’s Degree in science, chemistry or biology by position start date is required. Preference will be given to Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologists who are certified as ASCP-BOC U.S. generalist. Candidates with MLS educational experience (e.g. teaching, curriculum design, scholarly contributions, policy development, and/or educational outcomes assessment) are desirable.

Salary: Salary is competitive and commensurate with candidate’s experience and credentials.

Position Availability: Possible starting date as early as January 2018
