The College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) at Northern Illinois University has a highly regarded regional and national reputation for the quality of its graduates. Through its 15 degree programs, five schools, three health clinics, a child care center, a restaurant and over 700 practicum partners, the CHHS prepares tomorrows leaders in a variety of health and human service professions. We seek a dedicated and innovative individual to join our growing college and further enhance our regional, national and international reputation.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as key member of the CHHS leadership team with responsibility for planning and implementing research priorities in the college through work with faculty, graduate students, potential faculty, and key university partners; and serve as key leader assisting the dean regarding college finances including space and human resources through work with budget managers, faculty and staff, and key university partners.

Required: Research intensive doctorate in a field related to CHHS disciplines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated excellence in research and graduate education. Commitment to promoting diversity in faculty/staff and student recruitment, retention and promotion. Strong quantitative data analysis skills. Eligible for tenure

Preferred: Experience seeking and securing external funding; academic administration which includes experience with budget and personnel issues.
