The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Responsibilities include clinical molecular and cytogenetic/cytogenomic testing for our pediatric population, sign-out, quality control, innovation, and test development. The applicant will have interactions with clinical colleagues and will have responsibilities for teaching of residents, fellows, medical and graduate students. Applicants must have an M.D., or Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree with American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics certification (or eligibility) in Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics. Experience with Next Generation Sequencing is required. We are interested in someone with a strong background in cancer and constitutional diagnostics and experience in human genetics education. Applicants must have an M.D., or Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care.
