  • Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

    The Department of Health Outcomes Research and Policy at Auburn University's Harrison College of Pharmacy invites applications for a 12-month (possible extension to 24 months) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship with emphasis on health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) in the Department of Health Outcomes Research and Policy. Applicants must have a terminal degree including PhD, MD, or PharmD in economics, health policy, pharmacy, medicine, or related areas. Experience in outcomes research, health economics, or related field of research is desired.

     

    Successful candidates are expected to:


    • Participate in a wide range of activities, including research question generation, research proposal development, data collection and management, development of data and statistical analysis plans, data analysis, project management, and generation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts.

    • Involve with a range of HEOR projects, focusing on patient-centered value assessment.

    • Work under the supervision of Dr. Surachat Ngorsuraches but will be provided the opportunity and be expected to develop independent lines of research as their skills develop related to patient-centered value assessment, e.g., using discrete choice experiment (DCE) to assess the value of pharmaceuticals and healthcare services.


     

    Applicants must have a Ph.D., MD or PharmD in economics, health policy, pharmacy, medicine, or related areas or equivalent degree at the time employment begins, postdoctoral training, demonstrated research abilities, and superior creative problem-solving skills. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are required. All applicants must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and to work legally for the proposed term of employment.
