Clarion University invites nominations and applications for Director of the growing School of Nursing and Allied Health.
The School offers the ASN, BSN and MSN with Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Education concentrations. It also offers a B.S. in Medical Imaging Sciences, an A.S. in Allied Health and an A.S. in Respiratory Care, in partnership with regional hospitals.

Recognized as a leader in collaboration and distance education, the School has one of the largest Nursing and Allied Health enrollments in Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education. Courses are offered at the Venango Campus (home site for the School), the Clarion Campus, at a site in Pittsburgh and at other locations throughout Western Pennsylvania, using a variety of live instruction and distance education modalities.
The Director, a full-time administrative appointment, reporting to the Executive Dean, provides broad leadership for the School, including the ongoing strategic planning process and the development of new programs to meet community, regional, state-wide and national needs. Additional responsibilities include the monitoring of fiscal resources, identification and expansion of partnerships, grants and funding, to support educational initiatives in the educational, professional and business communities.
An earned doctorate, preferably in Nursing, Education, Public Health or a related field, a Master’s degree in Nursing, plus a minimum of five years’ experience in Nursing Practice, Nursing Education and Administration, are required.
