Seeking a postdoctoral fellow for the Georgia Center for Cardiovascular Modeling. Candidate should have a masters or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or other related field. Candidate should have background in computational fluid dynamics, data science and, image processing. Demonstrated quantitative analysis with excellent proficiency with Python, Matlab and/or C++ programming. Successful applicant will lead NIH sponsored research using CFD to investigate hemodynamics of patient-specific 3D models of coronary arteries. Should have demonstrated record of independent research, and good organizational and inter-personal skills. Successful applicant will write and submit journal articles reporting findings of research. The Georgia Center for Cardiovascular Modeling is a research lab based at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville led by Dr. Habib Samady. The lab aims to translate simulation and data based research into clinical use. See for active research projects.
