The Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion and Recreation (KHPR) invites applications for a full-time NON-tenured/NON-tenure-track faculty position within the Health program, starting in Fall 2022. Individuals from under-represented populations are encouraged to apply. This faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in kinesiology in the fall and spring semesters; optional winter or summer teaching assignments may be available. The successful candidate will be responsible for the teaching, advising, and preparation of undergraduate students for careers, or pursuit of advanced degrees, in the areas of kinesiology, health and fitness, and allied health. This faculty member will contribute to Program, Department, College, and University events and activities, will perform institutional service, and will assist with new student recruitment. The successful candidate will maintain a program of scholarly/creative work or other clinical work.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Health, or related field
Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses
Demonstrated ability to mentor students
Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse student populations and maintaining an inclusive organizational culture

Preferred Qualifications
PhD or equivalent in Kinesiology, Health, or related field
Evidence of successful teaching experience at the university/college level in courses and the ability to teach courses such as Biomechanics, Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Strength and Conditioning, and Health and Fitness
Evidence of effective college/university teaching experience, face-to-face, on-line, and blended (using Canvas or other LMS)
Experience working with diverse student, faculty, or professional populations
Practical work experience in a kinesiology related field
National certification from ACSM and/or NSCA
