This is a full-time, 12-month teaching position for the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) Program located on our beautiful East Falls campus, in the new state of the art Ronson Health & Applied Science Center. This position is offered at the rank of Assistant professor (or Associate Professor depending on experience) starting July 1, 2021.
The East Falls MSOT program is offered in a blended-learning format with intensive weekend delivery. Students attend on-campus class meetings eight weekends/semester (Friday and Saturday, generally every other weekend). Between on-campus sessions, students complete online learning activities through distance education technology.
Functioning as an integral member of the faculty team; teaching content in an innovative hybrid (online/on campus) MSOT entry level curriculum; maintaining a scholarship agenda; advising and mentoring graduate students; participating in service and program development activities. In addition, there is a potential for undergraduate opportunities (advising undergraduates who plan to transition into occupational therapy graduate program).
Qualified applicants must be Occupational Therapists with NBCOT certification, current Occupational Therapist state license, and Pennsylvania license eligibility.
The position requires completion of a terminal doctorate degree (e.g., OTD, PhD, EdD or ScD).
Candidates must have experience in teaching, scholarship and leadership. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in working in a student-centered, highly collaborative, interdisciplinary and expansive academic environment which emphasizes excellence and innovation in occupational therapy education.
