The University of Vermont College of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking a dynamic and committed Vice Chair/Program Director for Graduate Studies and tenure track faculty.
The position for Vice Chair Program Director is a 10 month position, with an appointment at the rank of clinical associate or full professor, depending on qualifications. We seek a person who can advance our vision for preparing highly qualified health professionals, support the health of the population and contribute to new knowledge. Qualifications require a doctoral degree and experience with graduate nursing programs. The ideal candidate will have clinical expertise as a nurse practitioner in her/his specialty area as well as significant experience with curriculum development for DNP and CNL programs.
The tenure track position is a 9 month position, with an appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor, depending on qualifications. An ideal candidate will have a PhD in nursing or related field, eligibility for Vermont licensure, demonstrated research skills and competence in area of interest. The Department is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in psychiatric and mental health and population health. Primary responsibilities include research, grantsmanship, teaching, student advising, and service to the University.
