Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Immunology Department: Pathobiology/CVM
Status: Full-Time

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Departmental Priorities & Responsibilities:
Participate in the tripartite mission of teaching, research, and service
Participate in effective classroom and laboratory instruction
Coordinate and teach within the Veterinary Medicine Infection and Immunity course
Teach within the Medical Microbiology course for the School of Nursing and Allied Health
Participate in research that leads to publications and extramural funding
Advise Master’s or PhD graduate students
Competitively seek grants
Demonstrate creative scholarship
Engage in collaborative research activities in the College, the University and/or with collaborating colleges and universities
Develop innovative teaching and research programs to enhance the Department and the College
Attend department, college and university meetings
Serve on College and University committees
Participate in community outreach service activities
Pursue professional activities that provide continued support to the College
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
PhD in immunology or related discipline
Ability to write grants and engage in research independently and collaboratively
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree is desirable
Teaching experience in higher education is desirable
Salary:
Commensurate with education, training, and experience
