This position principally entails the development of statistical and computational methodology for the analysis of "big data" with applications to medicine and specifically addressing clinical research questions using Electronic Health Record (EHR) data and/or clinical trials data.
Presentation of research results at national and international conferences is required. Collaborative opportunities under the guidance of the principal investigator, with relevant governmental and industrial partners, exist. This position carries no teaching, consulting or committee responsibilities.
This is a two year position (with a possible extension to a third year) in the Department of Biostatistics, School of Public Health & Health Professions at SUNY University at Buffalo. Appointment to second year and beyond depend on performance.

Expertise is required in asymptotic theory, stochastic modelling, model assessment and selection, observational data analysis, computational and machine learning methods.
Strong programming skills (R, SAS, Matlab, Python)
