One full-time tenure-track faculty position, at an Open Rank level, is available to begin Fall 2023 in a CCNE accredited School of Nursing (SON). SDSU SON offers the following programs: General Nursing baccalaureate (BSN), RN to BSN and Master’s degree in Nursing Leadership in Health Care Systems and AGNP/CNS. We are seeking applicants with academic and practice expertise within the Nursing Leadership in Health Care Systems.
Qualified applicants must hold an earned doctorate [PhD or DNP] in nursing or in a related field with a Master’s degree in Nursing and be eligible for or currently licensed to practice nursing in California. The successful candidate will possess strong research interest and capability as evidenced by an appropriate history of, or potential for research and publication in top-tier refereed journals and clinical practice. Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels is preferred. The position requires teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels and faculty role responsibilities. Applicants must have clinical expertise and experience as a Nursing Leader in Health Care Systems as a Registered Nurse.
Salary and benefits are competitive and are commensurate with experience and academic preparation. This position reports to the Director of the School of Nursing. The School supports the teacher-scholar model that emphasizes teaching and research.
