The Center for Modeling, Simulation, and Imaging in Medicine (CeMSIM) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has several postdoctoral positions available immediately. We are looking for candidates with experience and interests at the intersection of artificial intelligence and noninvasive neuroimaging to work on cutting edge projects investigating motor skill learning mechanisms in complex surgical bimanual tasks. Candidates with more experience will be considered for more senior research staff positions.
The successful candidate will be joining a diverse team performing cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI, neuroimaging, neuromodulation, and motor learning. We are collaborating with physicians and researchers from some of the best medical schools in the world and investigating the neural basis of motor learning.

Minimum qualifications:
Candidates must possess, at minimum, a PhD/MD Degree or an equivalent degree in a technical/analytic area including, but not limited to, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, computer science, cognitive science, electrical/optical engineering.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in neuroimaging at large
- Experience in Deep Learning
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Analytic, reasoning and problem-solving skills
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of neuromodulation
- Experience with time-series data processing
- Multimodal sensor processing
- Experience with Matlab and Python
- Experience with human subjects studies
- Experience with high impact peer-review paper and grant writing
