The College of Social Work (CoSW) at the University of Kentucky is home to Bachelors of Arts in Social Work (residential and online), Masters of Social Work (hybrid and online), Doctorate of Social Work (online) and PhD (residential) programs. Due to unprecedented growth, CoSW is seeking applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track Social Work Instructor to start in January 2021 or August 2021. The position is flexible and can be scoped to a 9 or 12 month contract.
The selected candidate will teach degree required courses primarily in the BASW and MSW programs and must be willing to teach across the curriculum, if necessary. Teaching responsibilities may include participating in CSWE accreditation efforts, student mentoring, assisting in curriculum development, service on program and college committees, and participation in professional development/scholarly activities.
Salary is competitive and will be based on contract term and qualifications. Required qualifications include a master’s degree in social work, at least 5 years of professional social work practice experience, and previous college-level teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates in ABD status or with a DSW/PhD in social work or a related field with experience developing and delivering virtual instruction.
