Responsibilities
Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track eligible faculty position. Primary academic responsibilities will be in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program (Traditional Track). The faculty member may have additional responsibilities in other degree programs. In addition to teaching, faculty have responsibilities associated with research, scholarship, and service. This position requires on-campus presence and is not a virtual appointment. Rank and salary are commensurate with professional qualifications and experience.
Candidates for consideration at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor (tenured or tenure-eligible position) must have an earned doctoral degree, an established area of sustained research and scholarship, as well as demonstrated record of excellence in teaching. Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of earned Master's degree in Nursing at the time employment begins
- Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Displays a philosophy commensurate with Mercer University's mission and values
The ideal candidate:
- A minimum of two years full-time academic appointment experience (five years preferred)
- Holds evidence of scholarly productivity in area of expertise
- Holds experience in a specialty area which allows for teaching in Adult Health, Foundations, or Nursing Research
- Evidences experience with CCNE accreditation standards
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field

Selection of the final candidate is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
Pay Rate
Commensurate with experience
