SUMMARY: Develops, teaches and evaluates the didactic curriculum of the Master of Science in Cardiovascular Perfusion (MSCVP) program. Be actively involved with student advising, program accreditation, and scholarly activities. One-year full-time faculty position with the possibility for renewal.
Teaches and develops graduate courses for the MSCVP program, particularly in the area of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and research methods.
Teaches relevant courses for other health science programs as needed.
Directs student capstone research projects.
Keeps regular office hours to provide easy access for students.
Participates in data collection, program accreditation application and maintenance.
Participates in university and professional service activities.
Maintains current knowledge in fields of expertise.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the program director.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Ph.D. or Sc.D. in Anatomy, Physiology or a related field.
At least two years of professional experience in the field, and a minimum of one year teaching experience at the college level.
Background knowledge and experience explicitly pertaining to cardiovascular perfusion a plus.
