Primary Purpose

Serve as a tenure-track core faculty member in the physical therapy program.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, organize, and deliver course content as assigned related to clinical expertise in line with the program curriculum, which includes coordination and collaboration with other faculty to assure curriculum cohesiveness.
Evaluate student performance and overall learning achievement through development and administration of objective learning assessment, which may include conducting written and practical examinations and assessment of other learning assignments.
Engage in independent research including grant writing and submission.
Serve as primary advisor for student projects and general academic progression.
Actively participate in the program, department, and college administration needs as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned Academic Doctorate (PhD, EdD, ScD), (ABD will be considered if applicant has a doctorate in physical therapy), in physical therapy-related field;
University or clinical teaching experience; and
Desire and capacity to conduct physical therapy-related research.

Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy with an Earned Academic Doctorate (PhD, EdD, ScD);
Five years clinical experience;
Three years teaching experience in physical therapy or physical therapist assistant  program;
Licensed PT and eligible for Idaho PT license;
Established record of scholarly activity;
Evidence of leadership in a professional organization at the state or national level; and
Ability to demonstrate diversity into teaching, service and research.
Teaching and clinical expertise in one or more of the following areas: orthopedics, neurology, or pediatrics.
