The UMSL Department of Education Sciences and Professional Programs in the College of Education invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor of Sport Management beginning August 2020. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a newly created Bachelor of Science in Sport Management Program. The interdisciplinary nature of the degree provides opportunities for collaboration with faculty from across the university. The UMSL College of Education has a long history of strong commitments to community partnerships and social justice across the St. Louis Metropolitan Area, and we seek a faculty colleague who shares these values.
Responsibilities include excellence in teaching, development and supervision of internships, student advisement, and other university/professional service. Though the area of specialty within Sport Management is open, preference will be given to graduates of COSMA accredited programs who have had prior Sport Management teaching and/or professional experience. A completed doctorate in Sport Management or a closely related field by August 10 is required. We are dedicated to enhancing the diversity of our faculty and strongly encourage applications from candidates of underrepresented groups.
Applicants must apply online at www.umsl.jobs and submit a cover letter, CV, references in a single .pdf or Word file. Applications received through other sources will not be considered. Interested individuals may contact Donald A. Gouwens, Psy. D., Chair, Department of Education Sciences and Professional Programs, with any questions at email@example.com
