Ponce Health Sciences University-St. Louis seeks instructors to teach in its Master of Science in Medical Sciences (MSMS) program. Faculty are responsible for development, delivery, and support of learning activities that support student attainment of the stated outcomes and objectives of the course, program and university. The faculty role encompasses learning facilitation, professional development, and institutional service. Faculty should support and promote a culture of learning consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the university. Minimum qualifications include: Terminal professional degree (PhD, MD, DO, DC, DPM) or ABD in a relevant basic science discipline from a regionally-accredited institution. Prior higher education teaching experience is strongly preferred. Applicants with experience and interest in innovative pedagogical strategies (e.g., flipped classrooms) are particularly encouraged to apply. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.
Provide instruction to graduate students in Gross Anatomy in a classroom/lab setting and via Live Video Transmission to remote classrooms.
Collaborate with basic science faculty on the main campus in Ponce, Puerto Rico in providing instruction to students on the St. Louis campus
Serve as small group discussion facilitators
Serve on committees as needed
Lead group tutoring/review sessions
Coordinate remediation activities for students
Assist in preparing portfolio and letters for medical school admissions committees
Coordinate academic activities with the MSMS Program Coordinator
