The Department of Occupational Therapy at Tufts University, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, has an opening for a Lecturer/Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. This is a full-time 9-month faculty position (paid over 12 months) that will begin as early as January 1, 2020. Supplementary salary is paid for work during the summer. A minimum teaching course load of one course per semester in addition to facilitating the Fieldwork Seminar will be required.

We are looking for a dynamic, creative individual who is able to lead the fieldwork team and collaborate with faculty and professionals in a variety of settings to develop innovative fieldwork partnerships. The Academic Fieldwork Coordinator works together with faculty and the fieldwork team to coordinate local and national fieldwork experiences. Primary responsibilities will be to develop fieldwork sites and oversee affiliation agreements; coordinate student fieldwork experiences, including advising of students; and communicate with fieldwork sites and supervisors. Program management skills, including program evaluation expertise and facility with information management systems/electronic databases, will be required.

A doctoral degree in occupational therapy or a related field (e.g., OTD, Ph.D., Ed.D., Sc.D.) will be required. The successful candidate will also have national certification as an occupational therapist and licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Massachusetts. Previous experience in fieldwork supervision or coordination is needed for this position. Guiding students in their professional behavior and development is a key aspect of this position. Demonstrated organizational skills and teaching experience will strengthen consideration for this position.
