Position Summary

The College of Nursing at Villanova University seeks nominations and applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position with preparation in adult health/acute care nursing. The successful candidate will teach, advise, participate in guiding student projects and research, participate in teaching students during international nursing experiences, engage in research and scholarly work in area of expertise and maintain active involvement in the College, University and professional community.

Duties and Responsibilities

Teach, advise, participate in guiding student projects and research, participate in international experiences with students, engage in research and scholarly work in area of expertise, and maintain active involvement in the College, University and professional community.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD in nursing or related field, masters degree in nursing with appropriate specialty preparation, previous teaching experience in college or university academic program, evidence of scholarly productivity and publications required. Teaching philosophy commensurate with Villanova Universitys mission and values required. Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Pennsylvania required.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in specialty area highly desired. Record of external funding preferred.

Three letters of reference, official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate degrees, evidence of professional liability insurance, criminal background check, FBI fingerprints and PA Child Abuse Clearance are required for appointment.
