In addition, the Department’s extensive teaching commitments includes instruction for undergraduate students, graduate students, and professional students.
The Department of Physiology is currently seeking a tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. The current position is available for faculty with extramural funding in cerebrovascular or vascular diseases using approaches that incorporates imaging. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Department of Physiology. We invite applications from scientists with Ph.D., M.D., or M.D/Ph.D. degrees who will be expected to establish an independent, extramurally funded research program in cerebrovascular and vascular research that includes imaging. The research space will be in the recently completed Healthy Kentucky Research Building with funding from an NIH construction grant. Therefore, a requirement for candidates with current extramural funding with complimentary science to existing programs in this space. Recruited faculty will be expected to establish an innovative, independent and collaborative research program addressing significant and fundamental questions.
