The Sports Medicine Research Institute within the College of Health Sciences, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Kentucky is accepting applications for a position at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position is Department of Defense funded and will focus on research with Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) at Camp Lejeune, NC.
The position will be appointed to the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences within the College of Health Sciences and located at Camp Lejeune, NC. The activities shall be limited to those under the scope of work outlined in the Sports Medicine Research Institute’s contract with the Office of Naval Research and include evaluation of physical performance, musculoskeletal health, cognitive performance, and psychosocial health and constructing an executable tool to inform on these variables relative to operational preparedness.
Salary is commensurate with experience and all benefits including health insurance, retirement benefits, and tuition discounts at the University of Kentucky for both self and family. This position will be a 12-month appointment with option to renew contingent upon review and grant funding.
