Post-Doctoral Fellow position is available at the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in bioanalytical chemistry, mass spectrometry, proteomics or molecular biology and interests in cancer proteomics. The successful candidate will join a highly dynamic and translational research program in biomarker discovery and proteomics of prostate cancer (
With protein mass spectrometry as a key analytical approach, we utilize various molecular biology and cell culture techniques, next generation sequencing, bioinformatics and proteogenomics to study protein function in cells and clinical samples. For our previous publications, see:
The candidates must hold a PhD degree, have first author publications and have a strong background in bioanalytical chemistry or molecular biology. Prior expertise in proteomics, genomics or cancer research will be an advantage. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
