The successful candidate will provide methodological expertise for conducting collaborative biomedical research on interdisciplinary research teams facilitated by the Biostatistics Consulting and Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration Lab (Biostat CIRCL). Responsibilities associated with the position include the ability to balance the implementation of rigorous statistical methodology with the complex challenges of interdisciplinary biomedical research. This includes leading the methodological contributions of research studies through study design, overseeing the generation and/or management of data, leading or conducting analyses, offering innovative methodologic solutions, and interpreting empirical findings in a manner that is appropriate for the biomedical research community and the public. A Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, informatics, or a related area is required. The distribution of effort for Research Title faculty is 95% research, 5% professional development. We seek a team scientist who is capable of growing methodological expertise and biostatistics capacity by contributing to collaborative opportunities within research centers and partnerships across campus.

As such, we encourage applications from individuals who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community; applicants with identities or backgrounds that are underrepresented in higher education are strongly encouraged to apply. The anticipated start date is June 2023 or later.
