The Department of Pediatrics, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, SUNY at Buffalo, is seeking a senior level, tenure-track faculty member who has research programs to advance child and maternal health knowledge and practice to join the team.

This includes but is not limited to expertise in clinical and/or translational research, and experience in managing multi-institution grants and collaborations and managing a team of researchers. Candidates should have a strong record of research success as demonstrated by an impactful publication record, and a clear vision of future work.

The hired individual will be expected to:
  • Lead and maintain an extramurally funded and productive research program
  • Participate in training of professional students
  • Contribute to the various administrative responsibilities of the department.
The successful candidate will bring an excellent national and international reputation, and a record of outstanding achievement and research productivity. This is part of a disciplinary excellence investment with the goal of building on departmental expertise in pediatric research. The expectation is that the incumbent will help to build the cluster.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Startup packages are negotiable on a case-by-case basis.

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in a relevant field
  • Applicants are expected to have extramural funding
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in managing large research institutions, divisions or other collaborative groups of researchers
  • Experience in obtaining and managing complex national grants and contracts
