As a member of the department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences the expectations of this position are to: provide disciplinary expertise and teaching; advance clinical professional relationships with medical system partners for research, clinical, and teaching goals; and provide service to the school, university, and communities of practice including participation in student recruitment and retention, continuous academic program refinement, new program development, and active involvement in professional organizations. The area of specialization sought is microbiology. Candidates who have attained a specialist in microbiology SM are especially encouraged to apply.

The School of Health Sciences serves over 2000 undergraduate, masters, doctoral, and post-professional students through a singular model of advancing community-engaged translational relationships, connecting theory to best practices in four thematic areas. Master of Science degree and certification in Medical Laboratory Science (ASCP) or Medical Technology (ASCP) and 3 years of relevant clinical experience.
