The Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition at the University of Kentucky in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment seeks a candidate for a full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant level, with a start date of July 1, 2019. The distribution of effort is approximately 70% Research, 25% Instruction, and 5% Service. Faculty assignments and division of efforts are subject to annual negotiation between the chair and faculty member. Successful applicants will be prepared to lead a collaborative research program and provide excellent student learning opportunities.
The Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition (DHN) offers outstanding higher education opportunities for students passionate about food, health, and wellness. Our undergraduate program in Human Nutrition provides a strong foundation to prepare students for dental, medical, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, or physician assistant studies. We also have a long history of preparing successful Registered Dietitians for a rewarding career through our accredited didactic, coordinated, and internship programs. Faculty in DHN are engaged in a wide variety of research, from food environment and culture to exercise and physiology.
