The College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) at Augusta University (AU) in Augusta, GA invites applications for an immediate opening of a full-time faculty position in the content area of Human Anatomy. Academic appointments are available at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, with a tenure track or non-tenure track appointment, determined by the candidate’s training. We are seeking a creative, innovative educator who will contribute uniquely to the educational team at the CAHS, providing instruction to the professional programs in allied health sciences (Doctor of Physical Therapy, Masters program in Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, and Medical Illustration. Desired earliest start date is July 1, 2020.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CAHS department chairs and curriculum teams to deliver excellence in classroom instruction and cadaveric laboratory dissection, partnering to share cadaver lab resources with the Medical College of Georgia (MCG). The faculty member will also be expected to contribute to the Department of Physical Therapy’s mission in the completion of an active and on-going scholarly agenda, and through activities that provide service to the department, college, university, or profession. Opportunities exist for a candidate to also participate in clinical practice.
Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in the area of Human Anatomy or a related field from an institution recognized as being regionally accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. Experience providing instruction to students of professional programs in health sciences is desired.
