The University of Kentucky is currently seeking applications for an assistant, associate, or professor, regular title series, 12-month appointment period, in the Department of Health Management and Policy (HMP). Our department is a welcoming and collegial community, home to highly collaborative faculty members with robust research programs in health policy, health economics, health law, quality and safety, public health systems, population health networks, and person-centered service delivery. Educational offerings include an MPH, a CAHME-accredited MHA, a PhD in Health Services Research, and a college-wide BPH. To learn more about HMP and our CEPH-accredited College of Public Health visit: http://www.uky.edu/publichealth/We seek an individual with extensive experience leading health services, public health systems, and policy research, and a strong and sustained record of collaborative extramural research funding and scientific publications. Excellence in teaching and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively are also required. The successful candidate should have sufficient experience to qualify for appointment at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. Applicants should have a PhD (or equivalent e.g., MD, DrPH, JD) in health services research, health policy, public health systems and services research or a closely related discipline. The initial Distribution of Effort will be Research 65%, Teaching 25%, Service 5%, and Professional Development 5%.
We seek candidates whose expertise will allow them to leverage the substantial scientific capacity found within the Department and College, as well as centers and schools across UK. These include the Center for Health Services Research, the Martin School for Public Policy, the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science, the Gatton College of Business and Economics, the Poverty Research Center, and the UK HealthCare Markey Cancer Center.
